Video – How To Inflate and Deflate a Bouncy Castle

January 05, 2016

This video will show you how to simply upnack and inflate your bouncy castle at the beginning of the day, and how to deflate and succinctly pack away at the end. There may be some differences depending on the style of bouncy castle, but the principles should be the same.

Unpacking & Inflating a Bouncy Castle

  1. Unfasten the strap.
  2. Locate the funnel.
  3. Put the funnel over the fan (do not attempt to fasten to the deflation tube).
  4. Securely fasten the funnel to the fan using the buckle strap, ensuring the funnel is straight and untwiested.
  5. Tie off the deflation tube or funnel.
  6. Plug in the fan and switch on.
  7. Unfold the rest of the bouncy castle while inflating.
  8. Pull the sun/rain cover over the side walls.
  9. Always use safety mats and secure using pegs or sandbags.

Deflating a Bouncy Castle

  1. Unplug the fan from the power source.
  2. Disconnect the funnel and place the funnel on top of the fan to dispense the air.
  3. Untie the deflation tube.
  4. Find the back wall of the bouncy castle and fold inwards.
  5. Locate and pull the side walls into the middle.
  6. Ensure both the funnel and deflation tube are straight and are dispensing trapped airflow.
  7. After a few minutes the bouncy castle should be deflated.

Packing away a Bouncy Castle

  1. Tread the excess air towards the the funnels (normally at the rear of the bouncy castle).
  2. Once the majority of air is out, ensure the side walls meet in the middle and the bottom seam is straight.
  3. Locate the bottom seam and fold into the middle, do this for both sides.
  4. After folding each seam, tread any excess air to the funnels.
  5. Always keep the bouncy castle as straight and neat as possible.
  6. Tread down the middle of the inflatable, this will help when folding.
  7. Fold the bouncy castle in half one last time, always ensuring the funnel is laidout straight.
  8. Tread down again to remove any excess air, this helps make the bouncy castle more compact when rolled.
  9. Start rolling from the step (front), making your roll as small as possible.
  10. Continue rolling keeping the roll tight and compact, if you have someone to hand, ask them to tread the bouncy castle as you roll to help get out any of the last air left in it.
  11. Fold both funnel and deflation tube into the roll (never leave them out).
  12. Use the buckle strap to fasten your rolled bouncy castle.
