PIPA Testing
Short for the ‘Professional Inflatable Play Association’, PIPA is an inspection scheme set up by the inflatable play industry to ensure that inflatable play equipment conforms to recognised safety standards. By getting your bouncy castles PIPA tested, the safety is improved as well as an assurance on its quality. Be sure to get your inflatables tested annually! The PIPA scheme is supported by the Health and Safety Executive, or HSE for short who were consulted during the PIPA scheme’s development.
It is important to note that PIPA only covers inflatable play equipment within the scope of BS EN 14960. In addition to this, BS EN 14960 is the only standard for design, manufacture and testing of inflatable play equipment and following this standard is regarded as ‘best practice’.
Here at Premier Inflate, we offer PIPA with our inflatables at an additional charge. Please contact us for more details such as pricing etc!
Please be aware though that PIPA don’t test all items – this may change in the future but see the image below to give current guidance.
